Charlotte Gets Back Her Health...& Her Life |

Mrs. Charlotte Seluer Ross was a young wife and mother with every reason to keep fighting cancer. Only 35 years-old and mother of a young son, Charlotte was diagnosed with stage IV colon carcinoma, with hepatic and pulmonary metastases.
She began initial treatment, but her condition deteriorated when relatively large amounts of water began to build up in her abdominal cavity, and her stomach had to be empty every other week. Her local doctors had little hope and told Charlotte that perhaps the best choice was to treat the symptoms, allow her to return home and to make the last moments of her life as comfortable. However, Charlotte did not choose this path:

When I came to FUDA hospital in the beginning of March I was in a really bad shape. I had fluid/water in my stomach and the Danish hospital couldn't do anything about it but to empty my stomach every 2nd week. I lost a lot of weight and I stayed in bed most of the time, because I had a lot of pain and no energy. I really thought I was going to die.
At FUDA they took good care of me. I felt safe from the moment I arrived. Within one week they stopped the fluid/water in my stomach, and it hasn't appeared since!! Within two weeks I was beginning to get back my energy, and when I went home after 6 weeks I was full of energy and I had gained some weight.
Now, 2 months after my return to Denmark, I am feeling better than ever! My cancer is reduced quite a lot and I'm full of energy. I'm very active and I have started running again. I cannot feel that I'm sick and it feels great to live a normal life again.
